has always had a love for traveling, but it wasn't until living in London that she really began to discover her passion for travel photography. Taught under the instruction of renowned French photographer & author, Mademoiselle Chrystel Lebas at the American International University in London, Julie has handcrafted a style that is both simplistic & artistic. Originally abroad working towards a degree in International Journalism and Middle Eastern Politics, she had hopes of one day working as International Correspondent for the BBC or in US Intelligence. However it was a course in black & white photography that opened her eyes to documenting life's journeys through the perspective of the camera lens. She now holds a B.A in Journalism & Broadcast Arts. In January of 2006 she created Journey of the Lens.

Her portfolio currently spans a collection from across five continents and over 30 countires. Her goal is to shoot on all seven continents.

In August 2011 Julie & her husband Ryan welcomed their miracle baby Nathan into the family. Since Nathan's arrival they've traveled to over 10 countries as a family. When not traveling, they divide their time between beautiful Point Loma, San Diego and Park City, Utah.
